Cusco city & Inca ruins
Arrival in Cusco
Arrive in the imperial city (3,399 m) and transfer to your hotel to settle in and take the altitude gently.
San Cristóbal & San Blas
Stroll the most picturesque quarters — the San Cristóbal viewpoint, the Siete Borreguitos lane, the Sapantiana aqueduct and artisan Plaza San Blas, down past the Twelve-Angled Stone to the Plaza de Armas.
Cathedral & Qorikancha
In the afternoon, visit the Cathedral and the Qorikancha, the Inca Temple of the Sun once sheathed in gold.
Ruins above the city
Explore the nearby Inca sites of Sacsayhuamán, Q'enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay before returning to your hotel.

Trek of your choice
Option 1 · Rainbow Mountain
A pre-dawn drive to Vinicunca in the southern valley, then a 1.5-hour climb to the pass (5,000 m) for stunning views of the striped Rainbow Mountain and Apu Ausangate, with lunch in Pitumarca on the way back.
Option 2 · Humantay Lake
An early drive through Limatambo and Mollepata to Soraypampa, then a two-hour hike to the turquoise Humantay Lake (4,200 m) beneath its glacier, with lunch in Mollepata before returning to Cusco.

ATV through the Sacred Valley & on to Machu Picchu
ATV ride
In the morning, explore the Sacred Valley by ATV through high villages on the way to Moray and the Maras salt pans.
Moray & Maras
Visit the concentric Inca terraces of Moray and the cascading salt pans of Maras, with a box lunch en route to Ollantaytambo.
Train to Aguas Calientes
In the afternoon, board the Expedition train to Machu Picchu Pueblo; dinner included and overnight at the foot of the citadel.

Machu Picchu & back to Cusco
Guided tour of the citadel
Ride the bus up the switchbacks for a guided tour of the lost city — its religious, civil and military quarters — one of the seven wonders of the world.
Lunch in Aguas Calientes
Return to Aguas Calientes for an included lunch at your own pace.
Scenic train to Cusco
In the afternoon, take the train back to Poroy and transfer to your Cusco hotel to rest.
