Welcome to Peru! Touch down in the capital and transfer to your hotel to settle in.

Miraflores & San Isidro
Begin along the Pacific cliffs, taking in Lima's smart seaside districts and the wide ocean views.
Huaca Pucllana
Pause at the great pre-Inca adobe pyramid, a ceremonial temple that has survived the city growing up around it.
Colonial old town
Explore the UNESCO historic centre — the Plaza Mayor, Government Palace and Cathedral — and the Santo Domingo convent that guards the relics of Peru's saints.
Museo Larco
Finish at the Larco Museum and its dazzling pre-Columbian ceramics, including the famous erotic gallery, then return to Larcomar or your hotel.

Ica wineries & Huacachina dunes
Drive to Ica
Set out early by private vehicle to Ica, about five hours south through the coastal desert.
Tacama winery
Tour the vineyards of Tacama, one of the oldest wineries in the Americas, learning how its wines and piscos are made, with a sommelier-led tasting.
Lunch at the vineyard
Enjoy a typical Peruvian lunch at the winery's restaurant.
Huacachina oasis
Continue to the palm-fringed Huacachina lagoon — the 'oasis of America' — for a thrilling buggy ride over towering dunes, then transfer to Paracas.

Ballestas Islands & back to Lima
Ballestas Islands
Cruise out by boat to the Ballestas Islands to see Humboldt penguins, sea lions, herons and clouds of seabirds, with a guide aboard.
Paracas reserve
Back on land, visit the Paracas National Reserve and the Julio C. Tello museum, with its mummy bundles and ceramics.
Cathedral & Red Beach
See the Cathedral rock formation rising from the sea and the striking Playa Roja, with its red sand and clear waters.
Return to Lima
At the scheduled hour, drive back to Lima and transfer to your hotel, arriving in the evening.

Flight to Cusco
Fly to the imperial city (3,399 m) and transfer to your hotel.
San Cristóbal & San Blas
Walk up to the San Cristóbal viewpoint, then the Siete Borreguitos lane, the Sapantiana aqueduct and Plaza San Blas, down past the Twelve-Angled Stone to the Plaza de Armas.
Cathedral & Qorikancha
In the afternoon step inside the Cathedral and the Qorikancha, the Inca Temple of the Sun once sheathed in gold.
Ruins above the city
Explore Sacsayhuamán, Q'enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay before returning to your hotel.

Machu Picchu
Train from Poroy
Transfer to Poroy station and board the Expedition train winding down towards Machu Picchu.
Guided tour of the citadel
Ride the bus up the switchbacks for a guided tour of the lost city — its religious, civil and military quarters — one of the seven wonders of the world.
Lunch & return
Enjoy an included lunch in Aguas Calientes, then take the train back to Ollantaytambo and transfer to your Cusco hotel.
