Welcome to Peru! Touch down in the capital and transfer to your hotel to settle in.

Begin along the Pacific cliffs through Lima's smart seaside districts, with wide ocean views.
Huaca Pucllana
Pause at the great pre-Inca adobe pyramid that has survived the city growing up around it.
Colonial old town
Explore the UNESCO historic centre — Plaza Mayor, Government Palace and Cathedral — and the Santo Domingo convent.
Museo Larco
Finish at the Larco Museum and its dazzling pre-Columbian ceramics, then return to Larcomar or your hotel.

Cusco city & Inca ruins
Fly to Cusco
Transfer to the airport and fly to the imperial city (3,399 m); transfer to your hotel to take the altitude gently.
San Blas & old town
Walk the San Cristóbal viewpoint, the artisan San Blas quarter, the famous Twelve-Angled Stone, and down to the monumental Plaza de Armas.
Cathedral & Qorikancha
In the afternoon, step inside the Cathedral and the Qorikancha — the Inca Temple of the Sun once sheathed in gold.
Ruins above the city
Explore the nearby Inca sites of Sacsayhuamán, Q'enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay.

Rainbow Mountain
Early start to Vinicunca
An early pick-up (around 4:00) and scenic drive to the trailhead in the Valle Sur.
Climb to the summit
Hike about 1.5 hours to the Vinicunca pass (5,000 m) for breathtaking views of the striped Rainbow Mountain and the sacred Apu Ausangate.
Lunch in Pitumarca
Descend the same trail for lunch in Pitumarca, then return to Cusco by late afternoon.

Machu Picchu day trip
Train to Machu Picchu
Take the Expedition train from Poroy through the dramatic Urubamba gorge to Aguas Calientes.
Guided tour of the citadel
Ride the bus up the switchbacks for a guided tour of the lost city — its religious, civil and military quarters.
Lunch & return
Enjoy an included lunch in Aguas Calientes, then take the afternoon train back to Poroy and transfer to your Cusco hotel.
