Day 1

Welcome to Peru

Arrival in Lima

Welcome to Peru! Touch down in the capital and transfer to your hotel to rest after your journey.

Day 2

Lima city tour & a purifying ritual

Miraflores & San Isidro

Begin along the Pacific cliffs, taking in Lima's leafy seaside districts and wide ocean views.

Huaca Pucllana & old town

Pause at the pre-Inca adobe pyramid, then explore the UNESCO historic centre — the Plaza de Armas, Cathedral and Santo Domingo convent.

Museo Larco

Admire the Larco Museum's dazzling pre-Columbian ceramics, including its famous erotic gallery.

Purification ritual

In the evening, unwind with a two-hour wellness ritual — a salt bath, shell massage and balancing facial to revive body and mind.

Day 3

Paracas, meditation & Huacachina

Ballestas Islands

Set out by boat to the wildlife-rich Ballestas Islands, home to Humboldt penguins, sea lions and seabirds.

Meditation at Yumaque

Sink into stillness on Yumaque beach in the Paracas Reserve, with a guided hour of meditation to the rhythm of the waves.

On to Huacachina

Continue to Ica to stay beside the palm-fringed oasis lagoon of Huacachina.

Day 4

Desert dunes & vineyards

Dune buggy ride

Race across the towering Ica dunes by buggy for a vibrant morning of desert thrills.

Tacama vineyard

Visit Tacama, one of the oldest wineries in the Americas, to learn its history and how its wines and piscos are made.

Tasting & lunch

Enjoy a sommelier-led tasting followed by a traditional lunch at the estate, then return to Lima.

Day 5

Arequipa — the white city

Flight to Arequipa

Fly to Arequipa (2,400 m) and take the rest of the morning to rest and acclimatise.

Historic centre

Tour the Plaza de Armas, Cathedral and churches built of white sillar volcanic stone.

Santa Catalina Monastery

Wander the colourful lanes of Santa Catalina, one of Peru's most striking religious monuments.

Yanahuara & viewpoints

Visit the colonial Yanahuara district with its Andalusian-style arches, the Carmen Alto terraces and leafy Selva Alegre.

Day 6

Into the Colca Valley

Altiplano & vicuñas

Cross the Aguada Blanca vicuña reserve and the Tojra wetlands, alive with migratory birds.

Volcano viewpoint

Stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes for sweeping views of the high cordillera.

Chivay village

Arrive in Chivay for free time, lunch and a stroll through its village and market.

Day 7

Condors & on to Puno

Cruz del Cóndor

Set out early to the Cross of the Condor to watch these giant birds soar over the depths of the Colca Canyon.

Maca & Yanque

Return through the villages of Maca and Yanque and the Antahuilque viewpoint.

Altiplano crossing

Drive on to Puno across high plains and stone forests, over Crucero Alto (4,538 m) and past the lakes of Lagunillas.

Day 8

Titicaca — Taquile & a homestay

Uros floating islands

Sail out to the Uros, the traditional reed islands floating on Lake Titicaca.

Taquile Island

Explore Taquile, where the community keeps ancestral customs and its famous weaving traditions, with a set lunch overlooking the lake.

Luquina Chico homestay

Cross to the Chucuito peninsula to stay with an Aymara family — sharing dinner, conversation and an evening of cultural exchange.

Day 9

Lakeside life & back to Puno

Morning in Luquina

Share a local breakfast with your host family, then walk, sail or kayak along the shore at your own pace.

Fisherman's lunch

Enjoy lunch at the fisherman's house before returning by boat to Puno and your hotel.

Day 10

Scenic route to Cusco

Pukara & La Raya

Travel by tourist bus toward Cusco, stopping at the Pukara ceremonial terraces and the snowy La Raya pass, the highest point of the route.

Lunch in Sicuani

Pause for lunch and a rest in Sicuani before continuing through the altiplano.

Raqchi

Explore Raqchi, the great Inca temple of Wiracocha built in stone and adobe.

Andahuaylillas

Visit the 'Sistine Chapel of the Americas', a baroque church glowing with murals and gold leaf, before arriving in Cusco.

Day 11

Cusco & a Pachamama ritual

Temple of the Moon walk

Take a guided morning walk along the Inca Qhapaq Ñan past the Temple of the Moon and its sacred sites.

Kintu offering with llamas

Join a kintu offering to the Pachamama at the Chuspichayoc waqa, accompanied by Andean musicians.

Casa Museo Sulca

Visit the Sulca family's home-museum for Andean snacks and an authentic cultural welcome.

San Blas & the Inca ruins

In the afternoon, explore San Cristóbal and San Blas, the Cathedral, the Qorikancha and the ruins of Sacsayhuamán, Q'enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay.

Day 12

Southern valley & a coca-leaf reading

Huaso wetlands

Begin at the scenic Huaso wetlands, alive with birdlife and whimsical wooden carvings carrying a message of conservation.

Tipón & coca reading

Explore the Inca terraces and water channels of Tipón, where a maestro performs a traditional coca-leaf reading to connect you with Andean wisdom.

Pikillacta

Discover Pikillacta, a mysterious pre-Inca Wari city, before returning to Cusco.

Day 13

Sacred Valley, earth offering & Machu Picchu

Písac ruins & market

Discover the hilltop ruins of Písac and browse its vibrant artisan market.

Urubamba lunch

Pass charming valley villages and enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba amid Andean scenery.

Ollantaytambo & Pachamama offering

Climb the great fortress of Ollantaytambo and take part in an offering to the Pachamama at a sacred valley viewpoint.

Evening train to Machu Picchu

Board the Expedition train to Aguas Calientes, with dinner included and an overnight at the foot of the citadel.

Day 14

Machu Picchu & back to Cusco

Guided tour of the citadel

Ride the bus up the switchbacks for a guided tour of this wonder of the world — its religious, civil and military quarters.

Lunch in Aguas Calientes

Return to Aguas Calientes for an included lunch at your own pace.

Train back to Cusco

Take the afternoon train to Poroy and transfer to your Cusco hotel to rest.
