Return to Lima
Drive back up the coast to Lima, arriving in the evening.

Cathedral & Qorikancha

In the afternoon, take the train back to Poroy and transfer to your Cusco hotel to rest.

Fly to Puerto Maldonado
Fly to the Amazon gateway of Puerto Maldonado (139 m), with a short city visit on arrival.
River journey to the lodge
Travel by boat to your jungle lodge, watching for capybaras, caimans, turtles and herons along the riverbanks.
Caiman-spotting lagoon
In the afternoon, head to a quiet lagoon to look for black and white caimans, the river's top predators.
